Hi! Or as a lot of people in NC say, Hey!! We are Fran Botzis and Mandy Patterson. Fran is a native of Augusta, GA. She left home for Appalachian State, met her husband and never left NC 😊They reside in Raleigh with their 3 boys and 3 rescue dogs. Mandy was born and raised in Tarboro, NC and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her family of 2 boys and 2 golden retrievers, now live in Winston-Salem, NC. Being in different locations sometimes confuses people; but while we are “Online Only”, our operations are out of Raleigh. 

Our paths crossed over 10 years ago. At one point we both lived in Greensboro, NC but did not know each other. I (Mandy) was in the process of moving to Raleigh. The market was bad, really bad, so we became accidental landlords. As a result, this is how I met Fran. Lucky her, she sold her house in Greensboro and needed somewhere to live before she was also moving to Raleigh. We were both always talking about decorating our homes while we were balancing raising 5 young boys, collectively. Several years later when I moved to Winston-Salem, we were doing a renovation on our house and she was doing one on hers. We kept talking about all these great finds and one day we said either we need to make something of this or we need to stop talking. And that is how almost 8 years ago Polished Picks came to be!

If you see beach pictures, they are most likely hers. And if there is any conversation going on about lacrosse, it is probably me. We both love a good glass of wine, pretty dresses and are always searching for the newest fabric, lamp or other home decor item.
